Offshore Wind

Offshore wind is the energy source of the future. In the crowded countries in Europe and around the globe, energy is direly needed, but space is scarce and expensive. With shallow seas at the doorsteps of many of these countries, development of offshore wind provides power generation very near to the load centres, but without disturbing people’s backyard. Offshore wind has great potential to provide a much valued addition to the energy mix in these countries, making them less dependent on hydro-carbons alone and providing knowledge generation and exportable technologies.
